The winery is a small European style Chateau on the Silverado Trail that produces about 400 cases a year. With such small productions, the wines are good but pricey. The tasting room is a small space amongst the barrels and we found the service excellent. They even accepted us in without an appointment. Overall we were very pleased with the winery and the wines. Recommended.

2003 Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon ($94)Rating: C
May 28th, 2006
Could not justify $94 for the Cab. It is a nice wine though - Big tannins and a dry finish. Could do with some time in the bottle and will be good in years to come.
2004 Russian River Chardonnay ($58)Rating: C

Only 12 barrels produced. I was impressed with the Chardonnay. Burgundian style. Very smooth.
2003 Napa Valley, Jacquelynn Cuvee ($64)Rating: B-C

This is a very interesting wine. 90% Cabernet and 10% Syrah. It smells floral yet is very well balanced with a long finish. Tastes very sweet and jammy for a young Cab.
2003 Napa Valley, Jacquelynn Syrah ($56)Rating: B

6 barrels produced. 100% Syrah. Intense fruit yet balanced. A good syrah
2004 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ($58)Rating: A

Very sweet, but then again, we are not fans of white, especially not California Chardonnays over $50.
