Another average winery, with average wines and service. The currently available wines at the winery is 17, which to me is too many wines to focus on; quality tends to go down when the focus is so broad. The tastings at the winery are the smallest I've seen - barely enough wine to wet the bottom of the glass. A nice location in Sonoma but wouldn't be rushing back.

Best wine at the winery (unanimous between the addicts). Good color, good fruit, nice finish
2002 Monte Rosso Cabernet Franc ($35)Rating: B-C

A nice Cab Franc. Gold Medal at the 2004 Sonoma County Harvest Fair
2002 Sonoma County Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon ($34)Rating: B-C

Better than the regular Sonoma County. Good deep color. Lots of tannins. Another gold medal winner at the 2005 West Coast Wine Competition. Needs some time
2001 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon ($24)Rating: B

The tasting notes says medium to full bodied, but it was more light to medium bodied. This wine won a gold medal at the 2003 West Coast Wine Competition, but we found it very fruity and light
2002 Monte Rosso Cabernet Sauvignon ($48)Rating: B

The 2002 Monte Rosso is disappointing compared to the 2001. It seems a lot lighter with not much of a finish
2002 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon ($24)Rating: B

This was just released when we tasted it and it tasted young and light. Definitely needs time.
2002 Sonoma County Merlot ($23)Rating: B
May 14th, 2005
This wine is tight, young and dry. Won a gold medal at the 2005 West Coast Wine Competition but I found it disappointing.
2002 Speedy Creek Cabernet Sauvignon ($38)Rating: B

Very dry - Could definitely do with some time. Won a gold at the 2004 Sonoma County Fair.
