The first Williams Selyem I tasted and I immediately fell in love with their Pinots - fruit forward, full bodied with great mouth feel and long finish. I did not know Pinot could taste like this until I had this wine.

Wow, first Pinot with real body I have ever tasted. Smells of fruit and oak, with berry tones and fills the mouth, with a great finish. First wine tasted from Williams Selyem, definitely a name I am going to look out for.
2003 Ferrington Vineyard Pinot Noir ($59)Rating: C-D

One of the best Pinots ever tasted - smells more like a cab, and tastes great 30 minutes after opening with a fantastic finish. Berries to open, with good body and long finish. Drinkable on its own and goes well with a light meal.
2003 Coastlands Vineyard Pinot Noir ($62)Rating: C
Feb 1st, 2008
Bold juicy pinot with a clean balanced finished. Drank it with Vietnamese dinner - perfect accompaniment.
2003 Russian River Pinot Noir ($40)Rating: C

Very smooth and fruity pinot with plenty of structure, their style blows away most other CA Pinots in my mind. Berry tones with a long finish.
2003 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir ($38)Rating: C

Tastes of dark cherry sauce and earthy flavours with minerals on the finish. soft tannins on the finish.

A little earthier than other WS Pinots, but still has good fruit that fills the mouth and then finishes with a very pleasing finish
2003 Vista Verde Pinot Noir ($49)Rating: C

      Best Pinot Noir of 2007

Good flavours of berry and spices, with some structure that you can almost feel in your mouth. Another excellent pinot from WS - I love trying their different vineyards
2004 Russian River Pinot Noir ($42)Rating: C

Definitely a WS Pinot, but not as powerful as earlier years. But I would still happily finish the bottle. More earthy than 03, but still good tannins and long finish.

Good fruit and balance, with a nice mineral and berry finish.

Excellent balance of fruit and minerals with good tannins. Best wine of the day, great potential for future as the tannins age and the wine develop further
2003 Flax Vineyard Pinot Noir ($54)Rating: B-C

Lighter than the RRV Pinots, but still very pleasing and may improve with time.

Vanilla and berries with a medium fruity finish
2007 Bucher Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir ($54)Rating: B-C

Lots of cherries, bursting with fruit. Good balance with decent tannins. Early taste at winery event, should improve with bottle aging.
2007 Litton Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir ($100)Rating: B-C
Oct 31st, 2009
Good body, very refined flavours and chewy tannins that will age well. More oak on this wine, but good strong fruit will balance this out in time.
2009 Sonoma County Pinot Noir ($37)Rating: B-C

Cherry jam with a hint of strawberries and raspberry on the mid palate. Medium body and decent length finish.
2009 Westside road neighbors Pinot Noir ($69)Rating: B-C
May 7th, 2011
Vanilla to start - almost seems cooler than other wines, but bottles are all room temperature. Good plum and cherry tones, with a long fruity finish. Not great value at this price, but a good wine.
2004 Bucher Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir ($49)Rating: B
Feb 13th, 2009
Subtle fruit flavours with a medium finish.
2009 Bacigaluna Vineyard Zinfandel ($50)Rating: B
May 7th, 2011
Good fruity nose to start, some depth but falls short on the finish. Probably needs more time to mature properly.
2009 Impaled Chardonnay ($37)Rating: B
May 7th, 2011
Nice fruit tones and clean with limited structure. Crisp and mild acidity. Could do better at this price.
2009 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir ($46)Rating: B
May 7th, 2011
Initially tones of mineral that gives way to fruity tannins. Needs more time to see how this develops.
2009 Limestone Ridge at Bista Verde Chenin Blanc ($25)Rating: A-B
May 7th, 2011
Light and crisp - like watered citrus juice. Balanced for what there is, may be better chilled on a summers day.
